SITE PREPARATIONS
We used local water bowsers to transport water from about 10km away from Kyuasini Primary School. We then removed tank roofing and demolished centre pillar of the tank in order for lining to happen.
After an intensive testing period of more than 24 month with different pilot plants installed in the north east of Brazil, our affiliate company ECCO installed the first serial unit of SANI SOLAR in November. The system is installed in the community of Santa Barbara in the rural inland of the State of Bahia in north-eastern Brazil.
The SANI SOLAR system is being used by all members of one family, three of them shown in the picture above (in the middle) together with the staff of ECCO.
From 27th to 29th of October 3P Technik, presented SANI SOLAR technology in the event organised by the World Toilet Organisation with more than 800 participants from all over the world.
During his visit to Guinea Bissau from the 10th until 18th of November, 3P representative Vítor Simões had the opportunity to present the SANI SOLAR technology to the Guinean authorities. Amongst his contacts where, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Environment and the Ministry of Finance.
From 9 – 14 October 3P Technik Australia used the opportunity of more than 4,500 leaders gathered in Brisbane at the World Water Congress and Exhibition to launch the SANI SOLAR system for sustainable sanitation in down under.
This is the first unit of SANI SOLAR. It is operating in Mexico.
The system is an example for installation over sealed surface, typical for peri-urban or urban areas.
Using the shown configuration, SANI SOLAR can be installed also on roof terraces in urban areas.
In order to have a demo site working under real conditions in Europe, a SANI SOLAR unit was installed at the beginning in Girona Province in the northeast of Spain.
The facility is installed in a plant nursery where it is used by its workers and by staff and clients from a neighbouring riding school.
The installation serves as showcase for visits and for testing innovations under operating conditions.
At the end of May, a SANI SOLAR system was installed at the local community of São Domingus in the Brazilian State of Bahia.
The installation was realized by our affiliate ECCO in the context of a collaboration project with associations of local communities of Bahia in which five more Sani Solar systems will be installed.
From 21st to 23rd of March, SANI SOLAR was presented at The Dubai International Humanitarian Aid and Development Conference and Exhibition (DIHAD). During the event, patronised by H.H. Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and ruler of Dubai, many contacts could be established to companies, organizations and thought-leaders within the global Humanitarian Aid and Development sector.
The 14th edition of DIHAD was supported by the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Humanitarian and Charity Establishment, the United Nations, the UAE Red Crescent Authority, International Humanitarian City, Dubai Cares and the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).
