Hello, I am Jehoshaphat Kioko.
Kambi-Mawe is a village in Wote, Makueni County which has periodic drastic water shortages. Its main source of water is a seasonal earth dam which dries up in the dry season. In the past the dam would sustain the water needs for the community but clearing of land (which exposes the land to severe erosion leading to siltation) for agricultural use and the growing population has put a lot of pressure on the dam and it can no longer sustain the community water needs.
This needs to be supplemented with alternatives either several water tanks placed at strategic points or to drill boreholes and piping the water to common points where locals can access.
With enough water, the community will be free of hunger, save time taken to trek long distances in search for water and reduce pressure on the earth dam.
Given support I am confident this project will go a long way in providing water solution for the community, the County and eventually the Country.
I support the cause.

People are excluded from quality health care coverage and they are water starved. Schools are toilet-less. As a result girls drop out of school when they start menstruating. This is so unfair –– lack of water and toilets, medical services, and just being born a girl, are enough to lock families in poverty for generations.
We change this in villages and school that you care about –– see details
