My name is Jackson S.Ole Kisimir,From Namanga location of Kajiado Central Sub-County,Kajiado County.Im a volunteer and Social Mobilizer in my Village-INTINYIKA/OITI.This maasai community leaves in small land holdings of 5 acres each for a family with an estimate of 8-12 family members.(Note that this community is polygamous in nature). There are about 500 parcels of 5 acres each. This means that with an average of 10 members in an family we estimate taht this community has a population of 5000 people and counting.
This area was set as an irrigation scheme with water expected from Oldonyo Orok Hills (NAMANGA HILLS)up stream. Two community water projects serve this community for the last 16 years.(SEMPEWUETI COMMUNITY WATER PROJECT AND OLCHORRO ONYOKIE COMMUNITY WATER PROJECTS).
Due to wearing out of the pipeline and climatic changes over the years, this water is never sufficient for irrigation and therefore can only sustain domestic consumption.Recently a Government of Kenya initiative so 100 pans constructed for the community but came with its challenges(accessing the water from the pan(4metres deep)and poor quality water(no filtration.)This community has several schools and churches…I nominate this community for the following support.
1.Rehabilitation of the pipeline.
2.Filtration of the water from the pans.
Recall that we give rainwater harvesting systems, toilets, reusable sanitary towels and medical services (gifts) to all villages and schools (nominees) that are nominated for the gifts by members of the global public (MOP) –– we give one nominee per calendar week therefore, on a calendar week, we give one of the gifts to a nominee that, at start of the week, has engaged with brand(s) the most (compared to engagement by other nominees).
Like other MOP, you engage with brand(s) eg soap, supermarket, soda, bread…. – but you don’t bank up the time that you spend in doing so. We enable you to bank up on your phones time that you spend in engaging with brands and to exchange the banked up time for the gifts.
Take with your phone photo(s) of brand(s) that you engage with, post the photo(s) and, from now on, #WasteNoEngagement ensure that time that you and your friends and relatives anywhere in the globe spent in engaging-with-brand(s) is banked up in favour of village/school that your care about.

Susan
This is the future for developing countries.
We agree, thanks a lot. If only we could “require the habit of joining things –– not tweeting, liking, poking…but actually being part of sustained community of people that fights for things together“…
Dear RAHA solutions,
Its great to be associated with your esteemed organization in pursuit of long term and sustainable solutions for communities challenges of accessing clean and hygienic water within recommended distance.I hereby wish to nominate OLCHORRO ONYOKIE COMMUNITY WATER PROJECT located at Kajiado Central Sub-County in Namanga Location of Kajiado County. This project was established in 2008 and has since benefited 74 households with an average of 10-12 family members. However due to increase population growth and wearing out of the pipeline coupled with effects of climate change that has drastically reduced the level of water at the intake.I hereby request the following.
1.Rehabilitation of the 4km pipeline from the intake to the community water point at INTINYIKA VILLAGE.
2.REHABILITATION OF THE OLD FABRICATED WATER TANK 100,000 LTRS THAT HAS IT LINER WARN OUT HENCE CANNOT HOLD THE WATER ANY MORE.
3.ESTABLISHMENT OF AN ADDITIONAL WATER STORAGE TANK TO SERVE THE OTHER COMMUNITIES DOWN STREAM.
I LOOK FORWARD TO A POSITIVE RESPONSE
BEST REGARDS
